Refund Policy

Last updated — September 10, 2026

Short version. Cancel any time and you'll keep access until the end of the period you already paid for — no refund needed for that. If something actually went wrong (duplicate charge, you were billed after cancelling, the app was broken for you), tell us and we'll make it right.

1. Who processes your payment

Pantryify subscriptions are billed through one of two payment processors depending on where you're paying from:

  • Paystack — used for Nigerian-currency (NGN) payments. Pantryify is the merchant of record; refunds are issued by us back to your original payment method via Paystack.
  • Paddle — used for all other currencies/regions. Paddle is the Merchant of Record (they are the seller on your statement and handle sales tax/VAT for your region); refund requests to us are actioned through Paddle's payment infrastructure, and Paddle's own consumer terms also apply to that transaction.

2. Free trial

Your free trial starts the first time you generate a meal plan and runs for the period shown in-app. You are not charged during the trial. If you cancel before the trial ends, you will not be billed at all. If you let the trial run out without cancelling, it converts to a paid subscription and normal billing (and this refund policy) applies from that point.

3. Cancelling a subscription

You can cancel any time from Subscription settings in the app (or by replying to our WhatsApp bot, where enabled). Cancelling stops future renewals — it does not retroactively refund the period you're currently in. You keep full access until the end of that paid period, then the subscription simply doesn't renew.

4. When we issue a refund

As a general rule, fees already paid for a period you used are non-refundable — the trial exists precisely so you can decide before paying. We will issue a refund, in whole or in part, when:

  • You were charged in error — for example a duplicate transaction, or a renewal charge that landed after you had already cancelled.
  • A technical fault on our side (not a third-party outage at Gemini, Groq, Twilio, etc. outside our control) meant the plan you paid for was genuinely unusable and we could not fix it in reasonable time.
  • You are legally entitled to one under statutory consumer rights that apply to you — see section 6 below.

Outside of those cases — including simply changing your mind, forgetting to cancel before a renewal, or not using the app during a paid period — fees are non-refundable, in line with section 5 of our Terms of Service.

5. How to request one

Contact us with your account email and, if you have it, the payment reference or receipt. We aim to respond within 5 business days. Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method — Paystack refunds typically settle within 5–10 business days; Paddle refunds follow Paddle's own processing timelines, which can vary by card issuer and region.

6. Your statutory rights

Nothing in this policy limits any refund, withdrawal or cancellation right you have under mandatory consumer protection law where you live — for example EU/UK distance-selling withdrawal rights, or equivalent Nigerian consumer protection provisions. Where those rights apply and are broader than this policy, they take precedence.

7. Questions
